The suspects arrested in the killing of rapper Pop Smoke are gang members who are also linked to a fatal shooting at the Rose Bowl last year, police say.
Corey Walker, 19, Keandre Rodgers, 18, who are charged with murder, and 21-year-old Jaquan Murphy, charged with attempted murder.
The LAPD said that members of an LA street gang were involved with the deaths of Pop Smoke and 18-year-old Kamryn Stone, who was killed while working in a clean-up crew after a football game at the Pasadena Rose Bowl stadium in September 2019.
Cops say Pop Smoke alleged killers didn’t know him, and they found his address on the internet. Bashar Jackson was only 20-years-old. In his short career span Jackson ( Pop Smoke) was surpassing heights. He has features from Nicki Minaj, Gunna, Quavo, and many more.
The adult suspects were arrested Thursday and are being held on $1 million bail.
