Second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson is beating the odds once again. Jackson was named the #1 player out of 100 players in the 2019 NFL season. He led the Baltimore Ravens to a 14-2 record he led the league in passing touchdowns and rushing yards from a quarterback. Jackson broke the quarterback rushing record that was by Micheal Vick.
Jackson was named the 2019 Most Valuable Player and the Offensive Player of the Year. Jackson became the first player in NFL history to pass for more than 3,000 yards and to rush for more than 1,000 yards in the same season. Jackson’s 1,206 yards on the ground set the single-season rushing record by a quarterback. He had five games with at least 100 yards rushing. All season he was breaking defenders’ ankles and making them look like fools. Setting records from his arm to his legs: whenever the ball is in his hand, he is a highlight play waiting to happen.
Jackson now has multiple awards, and he only been in the league for two years. We look forward to seeing more “Lamarmarvelous” things as Lamar Jackson continues to grow year after year. Jackson’s main focus now is winning a Superbowl. The Baltimore Raven selected Lamar Jackson as a late first-round pick. After 4 Quarterbacks went in front of him. Now he is beating the odds and making the doubters shaking their heads.
