If you haven’t heard of the ‘Savage’ Challenge, what are you doing?
After the release of Suga, “Savage” became an instant hit on booming app TikTok. The first person to create the choreography to “Savage” was Mansfield, Ohio native, Keara Wilson.
Since March 11, Wilson’s video has garnished almost 4 million views on Megan Thee Stallion’s Instagram and has been viewed over 4.1 times on TikTok. Celebrities such as Normani, Ryan Destiny, Queen Naija and more have joined the ‘Savage’ challenge.
We had the pleasure in speaking with Keara to learn more about her and the ‘Savage’ challenge and see if we can get this dance right!
Q: What was your first reaction seeing Megan Thee Stallion repost your dance?
A: My first reaction was I immediately lost it and began crying tears of joy. I was in such disbelief! It felt like a dream that was finally coming true.
Q: How long did it take you to come up with the dance for “Savage?”
A: It took me about an hour or two because I kept switching the ending. I switched it like five times but, I could’ve gotten it quicker if it wasn’t for that.
3. What is next for you?
A: It just depends on what I gain from this honestly but, I would love to collab with the different artists that have done my dance and also build up enough clients to were I give my own choreography lessons at a studio, or my own.
We are wishing her luck and hoping everything works out! We are posting a tutorial from Keara that’ll help you successfully get the ‘Savage’ challenge.
