VH1’s 2017 Hip Hop Honors is throwing it all the way back this year and focusing on honoring some of Hip Hop’s most memorable moments from the ’90s. VH1 has set their 2017 Hip Hop Honors award show for Monday, September 18 and it looks like this year it’s dedicated to some of the ’90s Game Changers and everything great about the era, from music to films.

This year Missy Elliot is set to perform, last year she was an honoree alongside Salt N Peppa and Lil Kim. This year’s award show will also honor Martin Lawrence for his iconic roles in his ’90s sitcom “Martin” as well as movies like “Bad Boys,” “Big Momma’s House,” and many more. Mariah Carey will also be acknowledged for her ’90s collaborations with big time Hip Hop artists such as Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and more.

The show will be hosted by Regina Hall and will honor Hurricane Harvey victims. Looking forward to this blast to the past!

Be sure to tune into VH1’s 2017 Hip Hop Honors next Monday, Sept. 18 at 9/8c.
