Urban Meyer to retire from Ohio State Football after Rose Bowl

Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer, will step down from coaching the team after, the Rose Bowl against Washington on January 1 2019. Offensive coordinator Ryan Day will become the new head coach.

Urban Meyer has dealt through a few things including health issues and being suspended for the first three games of the 2018 season, after an investigation showed he mishandled domestic violence allegations against his former wide receivers coach.

Meyer went 82-9 in seven seasons as the Buckeyes coach and 54-4 in the Big Ten division. He also won a national championship with Ohio State in 2014.
