The Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in game 6 to win the 2019 NBA Finals.

Kawhi Leonard was named finals MVP after averaging 28 points per game during the series.

Throughout the game, the score was always close, with neither team ever leading by double digits. Klay Thompson went down in the third quarter with a leg injury, after going up for a dunk. He went to the locker room but quickly returned to the game to shoot free throws. After he was done shooting free throws he left the game and did not return.

Thompson scored 30 points on 8/12 shooting in just 31 minutes but the Warriors could not keep their lead. Fred VanVleet would hit a three pointer with 3:46 left to give the Raptors the lead at 104-101 and they would not look back as they secured their first NBA Championship.
