On October 18, at a Sephora on Chestnut Street, personal scalp analyses were given with free samples of Original Moxie.

“The purpose of the natural hair event was to focus on wavy, curly, coyly, and kinky hair textures by showcasing Original Moxie’s extra moisturizing products,” said natural hair blogger and Sephora representative, Marisa Peal.

During the 4-hour event, consultants would look at a customers’ curl pattern, density, texture, porosity, moisture, and scalp suppleness. I didn’t even realize there were that many aspects to your scalp alone.

Natural hair blogger, Natasha Keele, attended the event and believed, “it was a win-win for Sephora,” saying “it gave people a chance to have one-on-one time with a consultant.”

The product Original Moxie was the main attraction at the event. One of the main selling points of the product was that it moisturized the scalp and God knows my scalp definitely needs that and I’m not the only one.

Consultants blessed customers with an array of samples including the Hair Bling High Shine Pomade Mango & Tucuma Butter, non-foaming shampoo, shape shifting re-forming crème, and so much more.

The founder of Original Moxie, Rachel Blistein, got started by testing out treatments on her curly hair. Blistein went through the Black hair phases of braids and relaxers until finally deciding to make her own products.

So the next time you’re struggling with shrinkage after a wash and set, or need more moisture for your scalp you might want to consider Original Moxie.
