It’s official: the ‘Jersey Shore’ crew is back!
Earlier today, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi took to Instagram to share the official premiere date of their reunion centered docu-series, “Reunion Road Trip,” where the old Seaside Heights squad will get back together. The show is set to premiere August 20th on E!
The ‘Jersey Shore’ reunion will serve as the pilot for the unscripted series as the old cast members take a road trip down memory lane – stopping at all the familiar spots, sharing old stories, and catching up on each other’s lives.
Along with the social media posts, E! also shared a short teaser of the castmates coming together and catching up after reuniting for the first time.
A lot has changed in the five years since they’ve all gotten together, with marriage and parenthood in between, they aren’t the same twenty-something year olds living reckless down at the Shore. But not to worry, everyone’s favorite meatball, Snooki, reassured fans that it’ll be just like old times.
The show had a good four year run on MTV, 2009 to 2012, until it came to an end in their sixth season. It’s still unclear if Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Margo, and Deena Nicole Cortese will take part in the reunion, but fans sure hope they do.
Be sure to tune in to the highly anticipated reunion August 20 on E!
