The Boston Redsox are champions of baseball again. Boston defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 to win the 2018 World Series in 5 games.

As soon as the first inning started, the Redsox came out firing, as Steve Pearce hit a two run home run to give Boston a 2-0 lead.

David Freese would answer for the Dodgers, by hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning to make it 2-1.

Nobody would score from the second inning through the sixth inning.

The Redsox would then hit a home run in the sixth, seventh, and eighth to make it 5-1 which was the final score.

The Dodgers had a fantastic season which saw them go back to the World Series for the second consecutive season, but were unable to bring home the title.

  • Steve Pearce was named World Series MVP with 3 home runs and 8 RBI’s in just 4 games (he did not play in game 3).
  • The Boston Redsox won a franchise record 108 wins this season and capped it off by winning the World Series.
