Ray J is pulling a Jay-Z, building up his brand and business with a $31 million contract that will help launch his technology transportation brand, Raycon.
The “Everything You Want” artist signed the deal with Cowboy Wholesale according to Business Wire. The terms of the deal include Ray J taking on an, ” active full-time role in the newly formed partnership, overseeing marketing and global branding strategy.” Cowboy Wholesale is a New York City-based company and is the leading distributor of consumer electronics. The company will also distributed globally in Asia and Europe.
“The world is moving towards renewable green energy, and electric transportation is a big part of that,” Said Ray. “With the Raycon movement, we are going to make sure we are one of the first ones there.”
The “Love and Hip Hop L.A.” star, who is the CEO of the electronics brand Raytroniks, is making moves, especially after popularizing his two wheeled Scoot-E-Bike.
