Philadelphia Phillies land Bryce Harper

By Daniel Flores

The Bryce Harper sweepstakes are officially over. The Philadelphia Phillies have signed Bryce Harper to a 13-year $330 million deal. This ensures that Harper will be a Philadelphia Phillie for the rest of his career. This deal is now the largest free-agent deal in American sports history surpassing Manny Machado’s.

Bryce Harper is one of the best hitters in baseball and is a former NL MVP. Harper played for the Washington Nationals for seven seasons and went to six all-star games.

The Phillies have had quite the successful offseason trading for all-stars J.T. Realmuto, Jean Segura, and now getting Bryce Harper.
