Tory Lanez has decided to tackle police brutality with six minutes of harsh reality in his new visual for “Shooters”.
The video starts off with Lanez’s explanation of why he made this video stating, “I made this intro because I felt that this was art that I needed to get off my chest,” at the beginning of the video. It then flashes to a dead body covered with flowers before going into a cinematic-styled story. Lanez and a friend carry out revenge against a cop who killed Lanez’s cousin. The story doesn’t end well for them, as they are quickly shot down by police “Set it Off” style. Then the song fades and Lanez switches up the mood and scene, as he surrounds himself with women and cars, rejoicing in the riches that he does have saying:
“I came in, I just pulled it off the lot / Sailing like a pirate how I came in with the yacht / I came up off of trapping off the spot / Tell me if you f*ckin’ cause it’s backups if you’re not.”
This comes three weeks after Lanez released the C-Slick-produced single, which comes off of his upcoming album, “Memories Don’t Die”. If the rest of the album is anything like this song here, we are getting ready to see a different more serious side of the “Say It” artist.
