From the big-screen to making music, Janelle Monae has been conquering it all. She’s been venturing off with different movies for the last few years and has stepped back from the music scene, but she’s back now and better than ever. Just after announcing her upcoming album, ‘Dirty Computer,’ she released the first two singles and music videos off the project and blew fans away.
Last week she dropped a trailer teasing the forthcoming release of her album and yesterday she made her triumphant return to music with two bold and creative visuals about black empowerment and sexual liberation.

The video for “Make Me Feel” had a lot of influence from the late Prince with an 80’s feel to it. In the video it showed how she celebrates bisexuality and the exploration of it. Meanwhile “Django Jane” served as an ode to black women’s strength by highlighting Monae as being fierce with militant looking background dancers.
Her third album ‘Dirty Computer’ is set to drop April 28 and will follow-up her 2013 ‘The Electric Lady’ album.
Watch the two visuals below and let us know what you think.
