Our girl Dream Doll has been BUSY! She just dropped her second EP ‘Life is Plastic 2,’ and it is everything that we needed it to be, seriously, this girl’s rap skills are pretty impressive! Dream’s made quite a name for herself as a reality star, but we are LOVING Dream Doll the artist. The Bronx is making some noise and you guys are gonna hear it!
‘Life in Plastic 2,’ is raw and unfiltered, Doll gives us a peak into her life and her daily issues on When It’s Over, which is actually the first track to open up the album. As the femcee spits and sings over a somber trap beat, she reveals that she is more than just a fat ass and a pretty face. Being the eldest of five siblings, Dream Doll expresses that she has to make it and she’s doing all of this for her family.
She also shares how ruthless the industry can be and because of her looks she has experienced some ‘sleezyness’ within the Hip-Hop community, like being asked to perform sexual favors for a feature (which is still an on-going problem in Hip-Hop for female rappers, but that’s another article for another day, Today is about ‘Life in Plastic 2‘).
We also noticed that Dream Doll shared her platform with other upcoming artists, Make Your Move featuring LouGotCash is definitely a cute little bop, we love to see our boy Lou shining! It’s also a pleasure hearing Chicago rapper CupcakKe, sis snapped on Splish Splash and is definitely a new artist to watch.
Dream Doll, really out did herself with this album. I mean landing a feature from the legendary Lil Kim is a huge deal, Funeral is definitely a favorite of mine too. It’s a great mesh of new school and old school spittin’. We’re so proud of Dream and the way that sis is levelin up,’ we’ve watched her from the beginning and we can’t wait to witness more of her greatness!
#Aphyillates, check out Dream Doll’s new project ‘Life in Plastic 2,’ and let us know what you think!
