Ladies, get your captions ready for the remaining of days summer. Houston’s finest Megan Thee Stallion and the Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj linked for an iconic moment in rap history. From the live video to actually hearing “Don’t Run From Me Friend” in “Hot Girl Summer,” we are pleased and satisfied.

As a Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion fan, I can speak for most – we all were waiting on this moment. First off, I love when these two sing but, also when these two are rapping bomb bars. Meg and Nicki both gave us attitude, confidence and lines to repeat to ourselves daily.

“Hot Girl Summer” was produced by Juicy and samples City Girls’ “Act Up.”

This song is a hit – on both ends. Ty Dolla $ign did great on the hook as usual and this was a song the culture needed, the women needed – history was made (to me).
