Students at James Blane Elementary came to school with two surprises – free backpacks from PUMA and one of the most talented artists from Philadelphia gave them out!
Meek Mill is targeting his energy to positive things only and decided to give over 6,000 backpacks out to his former school in North Philadelphia and 12 others. The bags were filled with school supplies also to start the new year off right.
“Our families are always in need of book bags, school supplies, uniforms and additional things that they use throughout the year,” said principal, Gianeen Anyika.
The impact Meek left on the students was amazing, leaving some of the students in tears and disbelief. The amount of hope Meek gave to the students was essential.
“Only message I want the kids to get from me is that anything is possible and never let anything hold you back and keep moving forward,” he said.
Meek Mill is set to personally deliver additional book bags Thursday afternoon at another Philadelphia school.
