LSU snaps UCF 25 game winning streak to win the Fiesta Bowl

The University of Central Florida football team had not lost a game since December 17 2016 against Arkansas State in the Cure Bowl. They won twenty five straight games going undefeated (13-0) in 2017 and won 12 straight in 2018 till losing to UCF in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl.

Although LSU won 40-32 UCF was without starting quarterback Mckenzie Milton who had gotten a dislocated knee and damaged arteries against USF in November. The injury required emergency surgery followed by two more surgeries and one more reconstructive surgery later this month. Freshman backup quarterback Darriel Mack jr. took over and lead the team to victory in the American Athletic Championship over Memphis, to earn a spot in the Fiesta Bowl.

UCF finishes the season at 12-1 and LSU at 10-3.
