As New York Fashion Week is unravelling, a specific collection caught my eye. J. Mendel has been in the game for a while now. with his Fall, Pre-Fall, Fall and Resort 2018 collections, he blew our mind with his auburn and grey color palettes. But this year, the haute-couture brand is coming back in full force with hints of spring and summer. Do you see these pastel colors revisited? We all know pastel has been a hit then a flop these past couple years, so a lot of designers have been wanting to stay away from those subtle tints. J. Mendel definitely made them double-take. I mean, look at this combination of fringe with pastel, small studs and buttons, as well as embroidery! You can’t tell me that’s not beautiful.
Looking at these pieces, I will guarantee you’ll feel like snatching them all–even though it’ll probably leave your bank account screaming. I’m sad summer is over, but this collection gets me excited for next summer and gives me so much inspiration! Check out some of the pieces from the collection below and tell me what you think.
