Festival season is approaching, sooner than we think. One of the most popular festivals of the year is celebrating nine years Governors Ball Music Festival and has a stellar three-day lineup.
The ninth annual festival will take place at Randall’s Island Park in New York City between May 31 – June 2.
Organizers Founders Entertainment unveiled the lineup for the 2019 installment of Governors Ball.
Florence + The Machine, Tyler, The Creator, The Strokes, Lil Wayne, SZA, NAS, The 1975, Kacey Musgraves, Major Lazer, Brockhampton, Louis The Child and Mitski top the bill for this year’s festival. Governors Ball is the first 2019 U.S. gig confirmed for The Strokes thus far. The Internet, Hippo Campus, Lord Huron, Sunflower Bean, Lily Allen and Bob Moses are also among the 70+ acts set to perform.

This year Governors Ball will celebrate its ninth anniversary with over 10 million worldwide viewers tuning in last year for the live broadcast of the Live Nation-owned event, with Stereogum writing that “Governors Ball has always strived to have a bit more of a personality than most high-profile festivals, adding in touches you just wouldn’t get anywhere else.”
Governors Ball features a signature lineup of the top NYC food and beverage purveyors, plus lawn games, street art, internationally known artists, and a relaxing and restorative Best Kept Secret area for fans over age 21.
