Temple Alumna, Feyonda Fitzgerald, is on her way to Connecticut. The point guard just signed a contract with the Connecticut Sun on June 8. She was drafted by the Indiana Fever in the second round of the 2017 WNBA Draft, as the 20th overall pick. Her career as a Temple Owl ended with her as the all-time career leader in assists with 635 and she was ranked second in career points with 1,824.
She also led the Lady Owls to the NCAA Tournament during her senior year. The Connecticut Sun signed her after Alex Bentley briefly left the team to compete with the Belarus National Team in the FIBA EuroBasket Women tournament.
We hope Fitzgerald will bring that Owl Pride to Connecticut!
