You can catch the funny man every Thursday on MTV’s Wild N’ Out, but what many may not know is, DC Youngfly is an amazing singer/songwriter and rapper; DC definitely shows off his vocal chops on ‘Curb Music,’ the 10 track EP ranges from DC spitting hard and gritty bars to harmonizing over melodic beats.

Youngfly gives it to us straight, sharing his personal struggles, dreams and worries. DC is very aware that he is blessed and he’s taking in all of his success, but you can lose it all as fast as you can make it. My favorite tracks have to be “From the Ghetto,” and “Take Ya Ass Home.” DC emphasizes that the street life is rough and even though he made it out, many don’t get a chance to.

‘Curb Music,’ will  give you another side of DC Youngfly that you’ve never seen or heard before. His openness with this project really allows fans like myself to understand him a little better, behind the goofy smile and animated skits is a man who’s been through it and is trying to live a positive life for his daughter and family. Meet DC Youngfly the musician. Check out ‘Curb Music,’ below!
