After taking over the southern scene and putting North Carolina on the mag again for music, Da Baby has earned himself a record deal with household name – Interscope Records.
The artist signs with Interscope as a joint venture with South Coast Music Group, his label that previously signed him prior to the deal with Interscope. Speaking to XXL, DaBaby explained that signing with a major label was simply a move to stay within his comfort zone
“Interscope told me to keeping doing me, don’t change nothin’,” DaBaby tells XXL. “I feel right at home. Now it’s time to make this house the biggest crib in the MF neighborhood.
South Coast Music Group’s Arnold Taylor (CEO) and South Coast Music Group’s King Carter (Vice President) are excited about partnering with the label.
“After years of grinding South Coast Music Group is honored to have a partner like Interscope that understands what’s required to take this Carolina movement to the next level and beyond,” Taylor and Carter say in a joint statement.
Da Baby recently linked with Blockboy JB for “Mini Van,” produced by Spicy Rico and Gemini One. At the rate Da Baby is going, he deserves the “Next Up” recognition for 2019.
