On Wednesday, Colin Kaepernick donated $34K to J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation in an effort to make good on his one million promise. In 2016, Kaepernick made a pledge to donate one million dollars and proceeds from his jersey sales to organizations that worked in privileged and oppressed communities, setting the goal at roughly 100K a month over 10 months. Kaepernick is making good on his promise already donating 800K to many different organizations, as well as funding Know Your Rights Camp, to help empower minorities.

The Dreamville Foundation, started in 2011, and was created to help youth in Fayetteville, North Carolina reach their potential and expand their opportunities. It is not clear what Kaepernick will be funding exactly, however, the foundation holds many events for the youth with many different purposes and opportunities.
