There were many rumors about Cardi B performing at the the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta alongside, Maroon 5 who reportedly will be the headlining act.

Cardi B has shown her support for former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick numerous times on Twitter and at the 2017 VMA’s.

Because Cardi B supports Colin Kaepernick she will not be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. Cardi B’s camp issued a statement to Page Six that she had no interest in performing at the Super Bowl.

“The rumor circulating that she wants a million dollars and she wants her own set is false,” the rep said. “There was never a firm offer to begin with for a performance. There [were] talks about it, but she was not particularly interested in participating because of how she feels about Colin Kaepernick and the whole movement . . . But again, there was never a solid offer for her to say yes or no to regarding the Super Bowl. She is already confirmed to do a set with Bruno Mars that weekend.”

There may have been some confusion because Cardi said in an interview with Fox Sports South at a Atlanta Hawks game “I’ll be out here during the Super Bowl week”, which made many to believe that she was performing at the Super Bowl however, what Cardi said was true as she will be performing with Bruno Mars at the Bud Light Super Bowl Eve Music Fest the day before the Super Bowl at State farm Arena in Atlanta.
