The 2017 MTV VMA’s just got a little bit better – “Bodak Yellow” rapper Cardi B and “American Teen” singer Khalid are both set to perform at this year’s pre-show and fans are more than excited about it.
To say this year has been very successful for Cardi B would be an understatement. The Bronx rapper has been making waves with her hit single “Bodak Yellow” steadily climbing the charts and currently sitting at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Bodak Yellow” has easily become the official summer ’17 song and has taken over everywhere. The hit single caught so much attention, Cardi made a Spanish version of it that dropped last week.
Earlier today, MTV revealed that she’d be taking the stage to perform her hit single live at the 2017 VMA’s Pre-Show this Sunday at 7/6c.

Her fans know the song word for word so she’s sure to set the stage on fire and start the awards off right. In addition to her, Best New Artist nominee Khalid and Bleachers will join Cardi B on the red carpet to perform their hit songs, “Location” and “Don’t Take The Money,” respectively.
Three-time VMA nominee Lil Yachty was selected to host this year’s pre-show events as well as Terrence J, Charlamagne Tha God, and Gaby Wilson.
Stay tuned for the exciting events and tune into the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday, August 27 at 8/7c live from the Forum in Inglewood, California.
