By now, you should be familiar with the name SAINt JHN after his recent premier on “BROWN SKIN GIRL” off Beyoncé’s album The Lion King: The Gift amid other notable successful recent releases like “Trap” featuring Lil Baby and “Anything Can Happen” featuring Meek Mill.

The Guyanese-American, Brooklyn bred rapper, singer, songwriter and producer may be a new flavor to your musical taste buds but he’s no novice to the music industry having kicked off his career with early releases in 2016 like “Roses” and “1999” but prior to the genesis of his solo career he racked up some notable songwriting credits for the likes of Kiesza, Nico & Vinz and Usher.

In 2017 he dropped off “3 Below” and “Some Nights.” Finally, in 2018 he released his debut full-length project Collection One.

It’s these earlier works that set the expectation for what to anticipate out of his future efforts. SAINt JHN’s sound doesn’t fit neatly into a genre box of just hip-hop or just RnB or just Drake-esque vibes but a stunning hodgepodge of his own eccentricities paralleled with his apparent love for this thing we call music.

He experiments sonically and isn’t afraid to dip into his emotions, his past and his present thus gifting his content a beautiful bipolar diversity – simply put, he’s relatable. From sure fire bangers like “GOD BLESS THE RATCHETS” to encouraging anthemslike “Brilliant B****” to bar laden freestyles like “HermésFreestyle,” his versatility will be revered.

Furthermore, SAINt JHN recently made an appearance on Sway in the Morning and Charlie Sloth’s Fire in the Boothseries where he showcased his freestyle capabilities – he’s unique, expertly switches his cadence and brings forth an authentic, humble energy.

Although he’s in the infancy of his career, it’s evident that his success will be one for the books. This year alone he’s already worked with Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Lil Baby and Meek Mill to name a few. He also just released his second album Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs featuring Meek Mil, Lil Baby, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and the legendary Lenny Kravitz– a worthy addition to his catalog. If you enjoy the sounds of trap, hip-hop, lo-fi-vibes, afro-beat infusions and pure creativity colliding on one epic front then allow SAINtJHN to be your new muse.
