Two of the most popular rappers from the Bronx this year, Cardi B and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, have recently released a little bit of information about their upcoming albums. Not only them, but only a couple weeks after, the A$AP Mob released their collaborative “Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy” album. A$AP Rocky went on to talk about him and other members of the group releasing solo albums sometime in the near future.
On Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Made in America festival, Cardi B announced that she planned to release her debut album some time in October.
She didn’t give an album title or a release date, but she gave her fans something to hope for in the upcoming future after what has been a major year for her with Bodak Yellow.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie
A Boogie has given us a little bit more information than Cardi on what’s going on with his debut album “The Bigger Artist”, to be released on Sept. 29.
It’s also been a big year for A Boogie, as he received his first platinum plaque for one of the best songs this year, “Drowning,” and he was named an XXL Freshman
. His “TBA – EP” project last year was meant to be a little preshow until the main event.
Recently, the A$AP Mob gave us their follow-up collective album to the Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 with their Vol. 2 edition. Rocky went to talk with XXL recently and said, “My album
is about to drop ASAP.” Rocky also said that A$AP Ant, A$AP Nast, Key!, Smooky MarGiella, and A$AP Ferg should all be releasing their own studio albums as well, “ASAP. This year.”
Is there anybody in this group of artists album’s that you guys are excited for in particular? I’ll definitely be looking out for Rocky’s and A Boogie’s respective projects.
