Unfortunately a young life has been taken once again – in such a gruesome way.
After numerous tips received from the public and overwhelming response from the media, authorities in Los Angeles have identified the body found inside a duffel bag last week.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office released in a statement that the victim, nine-year-old Trinity Love Jones, was a resident of Los Angeles County. Her identity was confirmed by the county medical examiner.
“Investigators have detained two persons of interest in this case and they are actively continuing their investigation,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement Sunday. “Although the Coroner’s Office determined the death to be a homicide, the cause of death is being withheld.”
Authorities say Jones’ body was found on March 5 inside a duffel bag along an equestrian trail in the Hacienda Heights neighborhood. She was wearing a pink, long-sleeve shirt with the phrase “Future princess hero” that appeared to have princess crossed out, and gray panda print pants, said the sheriff’s office.
Family members gathered at the trail where the Trinity was found at a memorial with candles, flowers and photos after her identity was confirmed, reports KTLA.
We are definitely pray for her family as they cope with the loss of this beautiful little girl.
