Drake is still holding his number one spot on the Billboard top 100 chart this week, while Beyoncé still trails in second place.
Also, hot this week we have Chance the Rapper who just released his third solo album, “Coloring Book”. He calls this album a gospel album. It is not directly gospel music, but there a few songs that reference his belief in God. Three songs that directly relate are “How Great”, which has parts from Chris Tomlin’s “How Great Is Our God” and “Blessings”, which is a testament to God.
After focusing on his career and God, Chance is rewarded with nothing but blessings and success. Chance made the promise to carry on with preaching and praising God until he “fades away”. Last, he has the confessional “Finish Line/Drown”, which features Kirk Franklin. The album also deals with black freedom and Chance uses this to explore his artistic freedom. The album is available on iTunes now, make sure you go check it out.
