If you planned on sneaking snacks into a Cinemark theater, you may have to think of another way to do so.
Starting Thursday, February 22, the movie theater company is banning large bags from Cinemark theaters.
Customers will no longer be able to bring in the 12” x 12” x 6”, which is equal to a large tote bag. The exception to this rule will be medical equipment bags and diaper bags which will still be allowed.
Cinemark said their new rules is to keep their customers and employees safe but, how will they monitor it? If someone has a diaper bag will they search to make sure a gun or anything else violent isn’t placed in the bag?
Cinemark says that they will not have a designated area for people to check their bags and they reserve the right to inspect bags and packages that enter their theaters.
Cinemark brands include:
Twitter took this new rule as a jab to the opening weekend of Black Panther, stating that the concession stands probably didn’t make as much as expected.

So cinemark theaters are now banning big bags which is coo but I just think it’s funny they’re making this rule right after a big black film is released
