The biggest singing competition on TV wrapped up their first season last night after crowning the winner!
Introduced to us only a month ago, ‘The Four’ on FOX immediately captured the attention of millions and trended on Twitter every Thursday night as fans tuned in to see who would walk away with a recording contract and be the next big thing in music.
Hosted by Fergie with judges Charlie Walk, Meghan Trainor, DJ Khaled, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the vocal competition went on week after week with artists eager to prove to the world they have what it takes to make it in the industry.
While many talented artists came and went on the show, the finale came down to four stellar singers who were fighting for their life to win. “The Four” consisted of Candice Boyd, Vincint Cannady, Evvie McKinney, and fan-favorite Zhavia.
Ultimately, it came down to two artists in a head to head battle between Evvie and Candice in which the judges crowned 20-year-old Evvie as this season’s winner and iHeartRadio’s next “On the Verge” artist. The young songstress has the opportunity of a lifetime now being signed to Republic Records and will be guided by Diddy, Khaled, and Megan to help her put out new music for her fans.
The success of the show proved itself each week as ratings continued to rise, so of course FOX didn’t hesitate to renew the popular show for a second season that according to DJ Khaled and Fergie will be even more intense.
If you missed the finale, head to fox.com now to watch Evvie take the crown. Did you guys agree with the judges? Should someone else have won? Let us know what you think!
