Love is in the air all around the country as we prepare for the most love filled holiday of the year. The museums, ice-skating rinks, and other establishments around Philadelphia have some special events lined up to cater to all the lovebirds. Instead of doing the same old movies or romantic candlelit dinner, why not switch it up this year and go to one of these local events:
Date Night with Clay
The Clay Studio in Center City is hosting a series of date nights. Not only will you have fun creating a clay masterpiece, there will also be chocolate treats, champagne, wine and more.
Whether you’re single or have your dance partner ready, you can head down to the Painted Bride Art Center for a special salsa lesson from Maestro Flaco accompanied by music from El Combo Melaza. The fun doesn’t end after the lesson; there will also be a dance party and concert that night.
Love at the Aquarium
Adventure Aquarium is having its annual adults only evening where guests can tour the aquarium after hours. You must be at least 21 and purchase your tickets on their website ahead of time. While there you can earn about how the aquariums animals mate, enjoy a buffet, complimentary drinks and more.
Dilworth Park will host its annual sweetheart skate. On this day, guests can get two for one admission to the rink and a complimentary rose all while ice skating to songs filled with love.
Wine and Chocolate
Head down to either Penns Woods Winery or Chadds Ford Winery. Both of these wineries will be conducting tours on Valentine’s Day and every weekend in February. Guests can enjoy sampling wine and specialty chocolate in a very romantic setting.
