#NewMusicAlert: Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd Drop the Latest Song From the ‘Black Panther’ Album, “Pray For Me”

Just after unveiling the track list and release date for the ‘Black Panther’ album, we get the latest song off the soundtrack.

Fans were overjoyed to hear that Kendrick Lamar and TDE executive produced the soundtrack for Marvels ‘Black Panther’ film, so this new collaborative track shared off the project is just a taste of what’s to come. Kendrick teamed up with The Weeknd to release the closing track off the album called “Pray For Me,” a futuristic-dance cut where the two show off their skills respectively.

On the track, the both of them express the feeling of suffering and acceptance of that. The Weeknd croons “If I’m gon’ die for you / If I’m gon’ kill for you / Then I’ll spill this blood for you, hey.” Kendrick then hops in to rap “Mass destruction and mass corruption/ The souls are sufferin’ men/ Clutchin’ on deaf ears again, rapture is comin’/ It’s all prophecy and if I gotta be sacrificed for the greater good, then that’s what it gotta be.”
