The Eagles, who have been on a winning streak and are the best in NFC conference, came into uncertainty when their star player and quarterback, Carson Wentz, was injured with a player’s worst nightmare, a torn ACL.

Fortunately, Nick Foles, Jake Elliot and Jay Ajayi were able to lead the team to another victory. Philly took on the Oakland Raiders on their home turf.

It was a low-scoring game, with field goals being the main factor. Ajayi continued to do work scoring one touchdown in the 1st quarter, and he racked up 51 rushing yards. In the 2nd quarter, the Raiders responded back with a 63-yard touchdown from Amari Cooper.

The Raiders took the lead with Giorgio Tavecchio making a 25-yard field goal. Elliot responded back with a 35-yard field goal and tied the game at the end of the 3rd quarter. Tavecchio missed an opportunity to advance the team after missing a 48-yard field goal. In the last 20 seconds, Elliot came through again with a 48-yard field goal putting the Eagles up by 3.

The Eagles came out victorious, and ended up picking up a fumbled ball for one last touchdown, making the final score 19-10.

The Eagles are now 13-2 and have earned time to rest up for their game on Dec. 31 against the Cowboys.
