Recently, I was reminiscing on different brands I used to wear and one of my favorites was the colorful Pastry sneakers. I literally had every pair that came out inclduing the small line of flats.
At the time, I was in middle school and the only way I could spice my uniform up was with different shoes.
The idea came about in 2006 and Pastry was launched in 2007 by fashionistas Angela and Vanessa Simmons. Their father Jospeh ‘Rev. Run’ Simmons also partnered with them and was mentor throughout their process. Their bold colors and unique patterns instantly captured my mind almost ten years ago and they were amazing.
The line not only had sneakers but, added sandals, flats, ice boots and more. In 2007, the Simmons’ sisters sold well over $15 million worth of shoes.
I am going to include some of my favorite designs. I’m not sure what happened to Pastry shoes but, hopefully they’ll come back and retro them. I would love to purchase these again!
