No matter what you fry, once you put the breading and oil on that food, it automatically becomes unhealthy. Even if it is a vegetable like fried pickles or fried zucchini. Constantly eating fried food can be detrimental to your health. Eating fried food clogs your arteries, which can cause heart attacks. This is why many times, older people who are more prone to having heart problems must change their diet and cut out fried food.
Fried food also increases risk of obesity because of all the fat and calories harbored in the oils. Eating fried foods more than four times a week will increase your risk of being overweight and obese.
With that being said, almost everything you like to eat fried, can also be baked and grilled! Grilling is a much healthier solution, because most of the time you do not have to add extra oils and fat to your food. Grilling also gets rid of a lot of the fat in your foods because it drips off your food compared to frying, which absorbs it. Make your heart happy by replacing your fryer with your grill this summer.
