Confession of a Courtesan
Showcasing her versatility, female rap artist Aleychia representing North Carolina well, probably has one of the best tapes from an underground artist this year.
Confession of a Courtesan, is a project for boss women with beats that can cater to any listener.
There are so many different elements of the 11-track tape, but “Can’t Trust” and “Kelly Price” are definitely two of my favorites. They both have the southern trap beat similar to Migos’ but has a female voice ripping the track. Aleychia sounded like a female version of Quavo.
“Hustle Musik,” my guess, happens to be one of Aleychia’s favorite freestyles. With Wayne being her favorite artist and they are both libras, this freestyle is definitely a special one off of “Confession of a Courtesan.” Speaking on situations that happened in her life, Aleychia talks about her coming up as a female rapper, hustling, struggles and more. Another throwback freestyle from Aleychia was Jay’Z’s “Girls Girls Girls” where Aleychia takes on the song from a woman’s point of view.
“Mrs.Perfect” is another one of my many favorites off of the tape. Aleychia talks about herself and shows her confidence throughout the track.
“Ya’ll aint got no motherf*cking Future like Ciara,” was a bar I had to go back to! I heard it and was like wowww, this girl is really one of my favorite rising artists right now.
Aleychia worked with a variety of producers such as NickEBeats, FreakoBeatz, DrellOnTheTrack. Ley Mix, Jater and more.
